Here we are, at the end of the year. Just like last year, we like to look back and see what we’ve done throughout the year. What gone wrong, what gone unexpectedly well. 2016 has been an awesome year for us. It’s a crazy one, to be honest.
One of the things that really surprised me (Sharon) this year is the proposal. Yes, Fred proposed me when we were watching the fireworks at Hongkong Disneyland. I was so happy and in shocked and the firework was too beautiful and for a second I thought he was just joking, so I said: “haha you lied”. And I left him unanswered and continue awe-ing at the magical fireworks. Until we were walking back to the hotel from Disneyland. I remembered saying: “um, about that thing, are you serious?” Fred: “Of course!!! But you said that I was just lying!”. Then, of course, I gave him my answer hehe.
Long story short, we have been planning our wedding next year. And so far, everything’s going well. It’s far from the pretty image of the small rustic wedding that Sharon has been picturing, but we think it will do just fine. (Read about What We Think About Marriage)
Both of us quitted our job this year. Sharon became a baker & cake decorator. And Fred is now busy with his own personal projects. We read more books this year, we travel more, and we are happier than ever.
Then later in December, we decided to take 2 weeks off from our daily activity. We went to Singapore, Ipoh, Cameron Highland, and Penang. It’s been quite an adventure, and we love every single day of our trip. We will surely write about it in more detail later!
We also made an Instagram and this blog for us both. Just to keep track of our *uhuk* love life.
And oh, we are now in the process of applying for Australia Working & Holiday Visa, so hopefully we’ll have a one full year honeymoon next year after the wedding. Wish us luck! *finger crossed*
Now we can’t wait for 2017 to come. Next year will be just as crazy and as adventurous as this year, we hope.
Happy New Year!
