Years ago, we decided to apply for an internship program in Bali. It was our third year of uni and we thought, why now try somewhere fun? It doesn’t have to be a big giant sparkly company, we just wanted to experience what it feels like to be working at the office while still enjoying the city. Jakarta was obviously not on our list. We thought about Bali and luckily, both of us were accepted by the same company. We couldn’t believe our luck!
We spent 2 months living there. It was a pretty long time and we got to explore so many parts of Bali we’ve never seen before. Since then, our love of travel grows stronger and stronger. We are now slowly, like super slowly, exploring the world, one step at a time. But let’s talk about how it all started.
Two months in Bali felt like we live in a completely different world. There were so many things to do, so many places to explore, so many different kinds of food to try. It almost felt like we were lost in paradise.
Going to the office didn’t feel tiring because later after the office hour, we could just go to the beach enjoying the sunset. Or sometimes we go to the movies or restaurant. Anything will do. It was so cheap to get our mood boosted because everything in Bali made us feel extremely happy.
We had brunch on weekend, then we would head to the beach and learned to surf.
We went snorkeling for the very first time
We went to Ubud and explored another part of Bali.
We went hiking at Campuhan ridge and had a picnic on Indonesian independence day. And not to mention fancy dinner.
We were away from our family and friends. We didn’t have to think about what others think or say. We lived in our own world, and we loved it. There was so much freedom. It felt great.
We later came to a point where we realize that there is actually no limit in this world. The only thing that limits how we experience things is…. ourselves 🙂
